✨ Meet Shanna , Founder of Shift Hawthorn
In early 2020, Shanna was thriving as an account manager for nationally recognized brands. She traveled the globe with first-class upgrades, her cult-favorite carry-on suitcase, and her signature bougie water—living what seemed like a life of significance. And then, Covid. Overnight, her career in retail store development came to a halt. Like so many, she went from flying the friendly skies to lying on the sofa, marathoning Netflix, and asking herself: What’s next?
The answer was simple: a shift.
Shanna has always been a maker. Back in 2013, she dreamed up the concept for Shift Hawthorn—absolutely ethical, handcrafted goods made for individuals who love to give kindness. With unexpected time on her hands, she dusted off her business plan and began creating. Her question was clear: What could bring comfort in a time of uncertainty?
The answer became candles, designed with a mission to:
- Luxuriously scent spaces with premium ingredients
- Uphold ethical and sustainable practices
- Feature unique, eco-friendly drinking glasses
- Eliminate plastic with beautiful packaging
- Invest in people and the planet
With her love for nature, simplicity, and all things pretty, Shanna poured her design experience into something better than she imagined. The result is exceptional.
